GETS aims to develop further training for employees of the textile industry in Ethiopia. Qualification of employees improves with demand-oriented training programmes. Thus, ethopian
textile enterprises will benefit from higher quality products on all levels (material, design, manufacture) and elevate their reputation on the international market.

Within the framework of a three-year project funding by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) within the special initiative "Decent Work for a Just Transition", the Association of the North-East German Textile and Clothing Industry e.V. (vti) aims with the GETS project to develop the training in collaboration with local partners (associations, training institutions, companies) to ensure its relevance to local industry, namely demand- and practiceoriented as well as sustainable. Finally, one or more local partners shall be identified to take over responsibility for the training and continue to offer the courses after the end of the project.
