Further textile training
The courses to be designed for this training program focus on basic knowledge in the textile sector, e.g. basic materials and technologies, textile finishing and recycling. Aspects of quality assurance will also be addressed. The training is planned for a duration of approx. 6 months and will be offered as individual modules, including digital tools and techniques that can be accessed or downloaded online using technological devices (e.g. smartphone or tablet).
Following the completion of a course, participants receive certification.
The training program is primarily designed for Ethiopian workers in the textile industry. The training will be carried out by local trainers in Ethiopia who have undergone specific professional preparation. The GETS trainers receive technical training and basic didactic knowledge. Training material, which is available in digital form, supports the trainers throughout their activities.
User-friendly teaching content on fibers, textile technologies, recycling techniques and quality assurance will be available online in a series of modules. The courses can therefore be adapted to the specific requirements of individual companies. It is important to address the entire textile chain in order to achieve high-quality standards. Mistakes in the preliminary stages, such as spinning or textile finishing, often appear only in the finished product.
Digital access to teaching material enables participants to elaborate on teaching content in a self-paced learning environment. Trainers ensure the quality of the training. GETS trainers are provided with didactic methods in order to conduct professional qualification measures.
Practical in-house units enhance the training program. Training can address the individual technical facilities of participating companies.
